SEAT OF DECEIT / THE BEGINNER’S TABLE

How to Play Seat of Deceit

A suspicious guest list. A very public accusation. One chance to keep your story straight.

Understand your allegiance

Your secret role belongs to the Innocent, Cult or Neutral faction. Innocents investigate and protect the court while seeking the Cult and hostile Neutrals. Cult members conceal their allegiance and work together. Neutrals have personal objectives: read yours before borrowing anyone else’s plan.

At night, choose an action

Read your private role card, choose an available ability and an eligible target, then confirm it before the countdown ends. Some choices can be replaced; opening a Warden or Seer conversation commits that action immediately. The server resolves multiplayer actions and releases information at the appropriate time.

At dawn, read the record

Casualties are announced in sequence before the court receives its released private reports. A public claim is something another character says, rather than proof of their allegiance. Compare it with the public record and your own information.

During the day, question and vote

Use court chat to ask for claims, compare reports and explain your suspicions. Select a living character to nominate them. If a trial opens, hear the defence before casting and locking your verdict. The current court displays the required thresholds and its countdown.

Learn a role before a live match

Start the guided demo without an account. Choose the default Physician or practise another class, with manual progression or a live-style timer. Offline practice is available after the app is cached. Practice has no account rewards.

Watch for personal endings

A Martyr executed by the court ends the match and defeats the Innocents and Cult. Other Neutrals win only if their own objective is fulfilled. Read the class wiki for the complete abilities, counterplay and conditions of every role.
